Microdermabrasion In Gold Coast

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive dermatological procedure that exfoliates the topmost layer of the skin, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Following the treatment, a fresh layer of skin emerges. This technique is employed to address various skin concerns, including uneven skin tone and texture, signs of photoaging, stretch marks, melasma, and different types of scars, such as those caused by acne.

Additionally, the microdermabrasion process stimulates collagen production, contributing to skin firmness and a youthful look.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

Our advanced medical microdermabrasion technology functions by gently moving a diamond-encrusted tip over the skin’s surface, efficiently removing dead and dull skin cells. This procedure utilises natural diamond-tipped wands that rotate to exfoliate the skin, akin to sandpaper, while a suction mechanism collects the dead skin cells and clears clogged pores.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Your therapist may advise microdermabrasion sessions on a biweekly or monthly basis, depending on your individual skin issues. To achieve noticeable improvements in the appearance of fine wrinkles and slight acne scarring, multiple treatment sessions are generally necessary. Since microdermabrasion focuses solely on the outer layer of the skin, it is not as potent as more aggressive treatments such as chemical peels and laser resurfacing.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?

Results from your microdermabrasion treatment last several months but may last longer depending on how well you take care of your skin after treatment. Having regular ongoing microdermabrasion’s will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.

WHO CAN HAVE THIS TREATMENT?

Microdermabrasion can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins) and is safe to have if pregnant and nursing.

Microdermabrasion is not suitable for those with cystic acne, open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated.
